The youngest of a highly musical Donegal family, Eileen is a music graduate from UCD. As a singer, her background is in traditional Irish music and jazz/blues and she has also been involved in musicals and choirs, both as participant and director.

Before Acabella she sang with Mo Rúnsearc and performed with them at the Festival Interceltique in l'Orient, France August 2000.

As well as being a highly talented mezzo-soprano, Eileen plays harp, piano and keyboards, guitar and tin-whistle. CD recordings include lead and harmony vocals on Arjian's Moon with Mo Rúnsearc and lead vocals on Réalta 2001(RnaG/Geal Linn).
